Forgotten Shaiya Rules and Terms of Service
RULES
1. You may not harass or threaten other players.
2. You may not use any content, which vulgar, obscene, abusive, threatening, harmful, libelous or defamatory, that encourages conduct that could constitute a criminal offense or give rise to civil liabilities at all.
3. You may not use any content protected by intellectual property laws or by rights of privacy, unless you own the rights there to or have received all necessary consents. You shall be solely responsible for any damage resulting from any infringement of copyright, trademark or other proprietary rights.
4. You may not impersonate any Forgotten Shaiya employee, past or present, including any Staff.
5. You will follow the instructions of authorized personnel while in the Game, including Game Sages.
6. You may not make any FALSE representation, including impersonation of any person or entity or misrepresentation of your affiliation with any person or entity.
7. You may not make use of the forums or game for commercial purposes, such as advertising any products or services.
8. You may not violate any local, state, national or international law or regulation.
9. You may not make use of the forums or game for the exchange or transfer of any pirated or illegal software.
10. You may not organize nor be a member of any clans or groups within the Game that are based on any racist, sexist, anti-religious, anti-ethnic, or other hate-mongering philosophy.
11. You may not give FALSE information or intentionally hide any information when registering for your Game account as we require this information to verify ownership of accounts.
13. You may not modify any part of the Game Client, Server or any part of the Game.
12. You will not attempt to interfere with, hack into, or decipher any transmissions to/or from the server running the Game.
13. You will not exploit any bug in the Game and you will not communicate the existence of any such exploitable bug (bugs that grant the user unnatural or unintended benefits in game), either directly or indirectly, to any other Game player. These bugs or Exploits will be told to any present staff and they will be taken care off.
14. You will not operate any software that interferes with, or interacts with the game in such a manner as to provide an advantage to the user.
15. You may not hold Forgotten Shaiya responsible for any loss resulting from In Game Trading. Forgotten Shaiya will not be held responsible for any resulting consequence from In Game trading.
16. You may not hold Forgotten Shaiya responsible for any information that is passed between players. Forgotten Shaiya does not guarantee the safe keeping of information that is passed between players and will not be held responsible for any resulting losses or consequences arising from the improper use of said information.
17. You may not hold Forgotten Shaiya responsible for any In Game feature loss that was not purchased through legal means. Forgotten Shaiya does not guarantee the availability of any In Game Items, any Services or any Levels to players.
18. You may not hold Forgoten Shaiya responsible for any loss of usage or data experienced as a result of server maintenance or other server down times such as restarts or crashes.
19. All in game items, and accounts are the property of Forgotten Shaiya . No sale/exchange of said items is allowed accept as authorized by Forgotten Shaiya .
20. You may not enter towns of the other faction, no matter what Circumstances.
(Rule does NOT apply to Castle Siege event's in D-Water, Proelium and Canta zone.)
21. You may not dismantle pvp raids.
Forgotten Shaiya reserves the right to record information about player activities in the game. These records may be used in verifying player claims, technical troubleshooting and policy enforcement. They may also be considered permissible as evidence to decide a ban.
The Player Ethics Guide may be amended by Forgotten Shaiya from time to time without your consent. In such event, Forgotten Shaiya will make the terms or rules available to you in the Forums or Main page of the Game (
www.forgottenshaiya.forumotion.com). If you do not agree to the Player Ethics Guide, you may stop playing the Game. In such a case, no form of compensation will be made to you.

Policies
In addition to the general guidelines listed in the Player Ethics Guide, players are also subject to these supplementary rules while playing the Game and as these are considered as part of the Ethics Guide.
These are also guide-lines into into Player and Staff Ethics, in which case; Consider these as Important and Severe sub-rules into our Main Rules (Stated above).
1. You may not use any language that is offensive, of racist nature, obscene or otherwise inappropriate. This includes, but is not limited to: all manners of swearing, threats, blackmail, sexually explicit language and racism or anything prejudice. As offensive language can be interpreted in many forms, it will be the mandate of Forgotten Shaiya to make a determination as to whether or not a -reasonable- person would feel offended and act accordingly (retaliate, to such offense).
2. You may not harass other players. Harassment is defined as specifically targeting another player, or group of players, to harm or inconvenience them. As harassment can take many forms, it will be the mandate of this server to make a determination as to whether or not a -reasonable- person would feel harassed and act accordingly (Retaliate, to such offense. We also require said player (s) involved in the Harassment Issue to come forward to a staff member so said Issue can be taken care off).
3. You may not discriminate against other players or groups. Discrimination is the treatment of a person based on the group, class, or category to which that person belongs rather than on individual merit. As discrimination can take many forms, it will be the Mandatory Rule of Forgotten Shaiya to make a determination as to whether or not a -reasonable- person would feel discriminated against and act accordingly (Retaliate, to such offence. We also require for the player (s) involved in the Discrimination dispute to come forward to a staff member so said issue can be taken care off) .
4. You may not engage in Scamming behavior. Scamming is definitely not allowed in our server, this is a huge issue as for such please come forward to staff with the issue. (Actions toward this kind of behaviour is up to staff to decide on the severity.)
5. You may not exchange account information. You may neither give, receive, nor ask about account information (to include passwords, email address, or any other information not available in the public profile; This also means that Account Sharing is not allowed.)
6. You may not use any form of "stat padding" - Meaning killing a low level toon repeatedly to gain a PvP (Player versus player) rank on a faster pace (Kill's will be deleted, and a Permanent Ban will be also in order).
7. You may not use any form of "skill cutting" - Meaning bugging out a skill so you can use it before the regular cool down period.
8. You may not "Kill steal*" any normal monster. This interferes with game play and can be counted as harassment.
9. You may not "Spawn kill" - Meaning entering a town of the opposing faction and kill characters on the spot over and over (this could be also counted as stat padding).
10. You may not insult the Forgotten Shaiya staff, they being ( [GM/GMA(AGS)/GS]'s but also not the players. When someone kills your character, there is no need to shout for example "noob", for you are the one dead.
11. You may not advertise other private servers.
12. You may not bash, insult, talk bad in any way about other guilds / servers / people since it counts as a form of harassment.
13. You may not kill someone that just loaded in the map when summoned on someone within a time space of 10 seconds unless you see this person moving whether in a dungeon, normal map, pvp grounds or any of these kind (This is also Counted (and is in addition to the rule of Spawn Killing) as Spawn Killing).
14. You may not use a second account merely for the use to insult, provoke and or use any negative way of communication on the opposing faction.
15. You may not talk any other language than English in trade chat. Trade chat is meant for all players, so an universal language is needed, and since Forgotten Shaiya is a American based server, English is the chosen language. You are free and allowed to speak ANY other language in any other chat channel.
*Kill stealing means killing a monster(s) that someone else had pulled, lured or damaged before you did any action on said monster(s).
